Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center reaches 19,000 open heart surgeries 

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.-based Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center recently reached a 19,000 open heart surgery milestone, the facility said this week.

The center began its open-heart program in 1983 and was the first in Palm Beach County to offer the procedure, it said Feb. 7.

“The success of this program was built upon the experience, skill and dedication of our team to provide the latest cardiac treatments for our patients,” stated Neerav Shah, MD, chief of cardiology at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. “We are proud of what we have accomplished so far, and we will continue to be here to bring many more firsts to the communities we serve.”
