Statesboro-based East Georgia Regional Medical Center is renovating and expanding its cardiac catheterization labs with more than $11 million, according to a hospital news release published on Grice Connect Aug. 16.
The upgrades will fully renovate and expand the hospital’s existing two cardiac cath labs, create eight new patient bays and a new waiting area, upgrade procedural rooms and upgrade imaging technology.
The cardiovascular services department will remain fully open and operational during construction, and the project is expected to be completed in mid-2027.
