Deborah Heart and Lung Center names new cardiology chair 

Burlington County, N.J.-based Deborah Heart and Lung Center appointed S. Justin Szawlewicz, MD, the chair of cardiology, the system said Jan. 7.

Dr. Szawlewicz has served as an attending cardiologist at the center since 2010 and currently holds various leadership positions, including Medical Director of Cardiac Rehab and Assistant Director of the Echocardiography Lab. 

“He [Dr. Szawlewicz] has been an integral part of our team for many years, and has served as ‘de facto’ leader during several periods of transition at the hospital,” said Deborah Heart and Lung Center CEO Joseph Chirichella. “He is well respected by his peers, and his clinical skills and patient rapport are unmatched.”
