The Vascular Verification Program is an evidence-driven, standardized pathway to establish and grow quality improvement and clinical care infrastructure for vascular surgery and interventional care, according to a March 23 ACS news release. The program provides a framework for improving patient education, clinical care and data collection, and can be adapted to a variety of inpatient hospital settings.
“This program is specific to our specialty. It’s not a one-size-fits-all project. It has been designed for vascular surgeons and interventionists to help us improve,” Michael Dalsing, MD, president of the Society for Vascular Surgery and a vascular surgeon for IU Health Physicians in Carmel, Ind., said in the release.
