5 heart center updates

Here are five heart center openings and upgrades since Aug. 30:

  1. Hattiesburg, Miss.-based Forrest Health and Hattiesburg Clinic partnered to open Mississippi’s first outpatient heart surgery center.
  2. Marietta, Ga.-based Wellstar Health System launched an aortic program designed to provide both emergency and nonemergent care for aortic diseases.
  3. Florida-based AdventHealth Tampa revealed a $2 million investment in GE Allia and Carrot Medical technology for its catheterization lab.
  4. Pittsburgh-based UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute opened its new outpatient facility in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
  5. St. Paul, Minn.-based M Health Fairview St. John’s Hospital opened five cardiac catheterization labs.
