Here are four health systems and hospitals opening heart programs:

  1. Honolulu-based Kapiolani Medical Center opened its first pediatric heart center.
  2. New York City-based NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue opened its Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, the first in the NYC municipal healthcare system.
  3. South Miami-based My Cardiologist partnered with Novocardia, a cardiovascular disease care platform, to launch The Women’s Heart Health Program, a cardiac clinical center, in South Florida.
  4. Houston-based Texas Children’s received $5.9 million from Panda Express to support the creation of an exercise and rehabilitation program at Texas Children’s Heart Center as well as the expansion of the hospital’s palliative care program.
