Services are being expanded in Chambersburg, Gettysburg, Hanover and York, Pa., as part of an agreement with faculty physicians from Baltimore-based University of Maryland School of Medicine, according to a Feb. 21 system press release. Four vascular surgeons from the school will join WellSpan Health to provide comprehensive care for patients with blood vessel disorders and diseases, aortic aneurysms, carotid stenosis, dialysis access, peripheral arterial disease and varicose veins.

The four surgeons are Ann Kim, MD, Daniel Neuzil, MD, Mirnal Chaudhary, MD, and Swati Chaparala, MD.

Three satellite offices are also being established at existing WellSpan locations — two are already open in Chambersburg and Hanover, and one in Gettysburg will open soon. The vascular surgery office in York has also relocated to a different building down the street.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
