The program, in partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, is the first of its kind in the county, according to an April 10 system news release.

Led by cardiothoracic surgeon and medical director Michael Argenziano, MD, the program offers a variety of procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting and aortic and mitral valve replacement and repair.

The program has already completed its first open-heart surgery on a 71-year-old man.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
