Dr. Wilson will take over the role following the ACC’s 2023 annual meeting next March, according to a July 26 news release.
He currently serves as a member of the group’s board of trustees and as immediate past chair for its membership committee.
Dr. Wilson is a cardiologist with Atrium Health’s Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Charlotte, N.C.
