Richmond, Va.-based VCU Health has named Patricia Nicolato, DO, as chief of the division of cardiothoracic surgery at the VCU School of Medicine.
Dr. Nicolato has served as interim division chief since August 2023, according to a Nov. 14 system news release.
She joined the cardiothoracic surgery division in 2004 and was appointed as faculty in 2006. She established VCU Medical Center’s extracorporeal membrane oxygenation program and has served as its director since 2016.
