NewYork-Presbyterian hospital names vascular surgery chief

Rajesh Malik, MD, has been named chief of vascular surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in New York City, the health system said Aug. 2.

In his new role, Dr. Malik will work to expand the hospital’s vascular surgery services so more patients have access to advanced care.

Dr. Malik is also an interim assistant professor of surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City.

Prior to joining NewYork-Presbterian, he served as chief of vascular surgery and medical director of vascular services at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in New York City.
