Portales-based Roosevelt General Hospital opened three new operating rooms and added four specialties, NewsChannel 10 reported July 20.
Since 2024, the hospital has added orthopedics, bariatric surgery, dermatology and cardiology services, thanks to a New Mexico bill that provides financial assistance to rural hospitals.
The services and OR expansions are part of an ongoing growth plan. The vision is to be the model for comprehensive rural healthcare, Kaye Green, CEO of Roosevelt General Hospital, said.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
