Tulsa, Okla.-based Ascension St. John plans to invest more than $100 million in cardiovascular care over the next several years and has hired nearly 30 physicians.

The expanded program will include more than 50 physicians, additional clinical staff and new technology, according to an Oct. 26 system news release. It will enhance cardiology, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, heart and vascular surgery, advanced heart failure and pulmonary hypertension, structural heart care, cardiovascular imaging and critical care services.

The improvements are designed to increase patient access to advanced cardiovascular services and create a more seamless experience.
