6 cardiologists on the move

Six cardiologists who have stepped into new roles since Sept. 1:

  1. Ali Azizzadeh, MD, an internationally recognized vascular surgeon at Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai, has been appointed associate dean of faculty affairs.
  2. New York City-based NYU Langone Health named Sunil Rao, MD, director of interventional cardiology and director of the NYU Langone cardiac catheterization laboratory.
  3. Kamel Sadat, MD, an interventional cardiologist, has joined Franciscan Health Heart Center Michigan City (Ind.).
  4. Melanie Patel, MD, is the latest addition to Evangelical Community Hospital’s Heart and Vascular Center in Lewisburg, Pa.
  5. Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital in Ellsworth welcomed Ellen Gallant, MD, to its cardiology practice.
  6. Corvallis, Ore.-based Samaritan Heart Center welcomed Gregory Wood, MD, to its cardiology department.
