U.S. News & World Report found Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital-Plano (Texas) ranked as the top hospital for transcatheter aortic valve replacement.

U.S. News evaluated about 4,500 hospitals using TAVR data such as survival, prevention of stroke and number of patients treated. Hospitals received one of three ratings: high performing, as expected or evaluated. Hospitals that earned a high performing rating typically have better patient outcomes compared to other hospitals.

Among evaluated hospitals, 246 were high performing, 399 received as expected ratings and 162 received evaluated ratings.

TAVR was initially a minimally invasive surgery performed as an alternative for patients who were not good candidates for open-heart aortic valve surgery, but now is often recommended for low-risk patients as well.

Here are the top 10 hospitals with high performing ratings for TAVR.
