Forty-two Minnesota hospitals were recognized by the American Heart Association for improving care for patients with heart disease and stroke.
The recognition came through AHA’s Get With The Guidelines. Nationwide, more than 3,000 hospitals take part in the program, and facilities that are recognized have been associated with better patient outcomes, fewer readmissions, lower mortality and reduced disparities in care for several populations, according to an Aug. 12 association news release.
