U of Maryland Medical Center leader named editor-in-chief of Circulation

The American Heart Association named Bradley Maron, MD, editor-in-chief of Circulation, the association’s peer-reviewed journal and a leading scientific publication in cardiovascular medicine.

In his role, Dr. Maron will shape the journal’s editorial direction and continue its commitment to publishing rigorous science, according to a July 6 association news release.

Dr. Maron, a clinical cardiologist, also serves as director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Center and senior associate dean for precision medicine at the Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical Center, is co-executive director of the University of Maryland Institute for Health Computing in Bethesda, Md., and serves as the Melvin Sharoky Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. 

He succeeds Joseph Hill, MD, who has led Circulation since 2016.
