Chesapeake (Va.) Regional Medical Center has opened the region’s largest electrophysiology lab.
The lab features more than 900 square feet of procedural space and advanced cardiac technology, according to a May 20 news release shared with Becker’s. Procedures performed in the lab include electrical mapping of the heart, ablation, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, and real-time medication evaluation.
The dedicated space allows the hospital to optimize lab utilization, eliminate scheduling conflict and support 30% to 50% more patients.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
