The 2023 AHA/ACC/ACCP/ASPC/NLA/PCNA Guideline for the Management of Patients With Chronic Coronary Disease, published in Circulation July 20, consolidates new evidence and revises previously released guidelines documents for diagnosing and managing patients with stable ischemic heart disease. The new recommendations update guidelines last released in 2014.

The report reiterates the need for clinicians to discuss the importance of eating a healthy diet and exercising, in addition to offering recommendations about diagnostic screenings and dietary supplements and medications.
