Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health named Amir Lotfi, MD, chief medical officer, effective Sept. 28.
As CMO, Dr. Lotfi will provide systemwide clinical leadership and oversee quality measurement, clinical quality improvement, patient and team member safety, peer review, infection control, and quality improvement education and training, according to a Sept. 28 system news release. He will also maintain momentum in Baystate Health’s High Reliability Organization journey.
Currently, he serves as chief of cardiology and associate medical director of the heart and vascular program at Baystate Health.
