Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt Health has received accreditation in adult congenital transthoracic echocardiography from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission.

The system is the eighth facility in the U.S. and the first in Tennessee to achieve the designation under the IAC’s adult echocardiography program, according to a Jan. 5 news release.

The accreditation recognizes facilities that provide care to patients with congenital heart disease who transition from pediatric to adult cardiology services.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
