Sacramento, Calif.-based UC Davis Health launched a pediatric cardiology fellowship.
The three-year program will train fellows in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired heart disease, and includes training in cardiac imaging, catheterization, critical care, electrophysiology and cardiac surgery, according to a Sept. 1 system news release.
“As the only medical center in the region providing pediatric fellowship education, UC Davis Health is dedicated to advancing the health of children from the north bay up to the Oregon border,” Susan Guralnick, MD, UC Davis associate dean for graduate medical education, said in the release.
The system currently has one other pediatric cardiology fellowship: pediatric advanced interventional cardiology fellowship.
