UAMS taps cardiologist for department chair

Little Rock-based University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences named Jorge Saucedo, MD, a long-term cardiology leader, chair of the department of internal medicine.

Dr. Saucedo stepped into his new position Nov. 1, according to a Nov. 3 system news release. He replaces Edward Yeh, MD, who has held the role since 2020 and stepped down earlier this year.  

Dr. Saucedo most recently served as chief of the division of cardiovascular medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and director of heart and vascular clinical services at Froedtert Health System, both in Milwaukee.
