The Pritikin program teaches patients to develop healthy lifestyle habits that address their diet, exercise routine and mindset. The preventive approach is designed to decrease the chances of another serious heart event and can lead to weight loss, improved blood pressure and increased energy levels.
Trinity Heart Center is one of four centers in Illinois to offer Pritikin ICR and began offering the program in 2018, according to the publication.
