One hundred hospitals have now achieved the American College of Cardiology HeartCARE Center designation, the organization’s highest recognition for hospitals and health systems.
Established in 2018, the HeartCARE Center designation recognizes facilities’ commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care. Facilities that earn the designation participate in at least two ACC Accreditation Services programs, NCDR registries and targeted quality improvement initiatives to close gaps in guideline-based care. HeartCARE Centers are forward-thinking organizations that demonstrate leadership in sustainable quality improvement and set the standard for coordinated, patient-centered cardiovascular care, according to a June 17 news release from the organization.
