The Cardiogenic Shock Program is a comprehensive program that quickly brings together a multidisciplinary team of cardiac care experts in areas such as critical care, heart failure, interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery to care for critically sick patients.

“We have 24/7 access to surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass surgery, surgery to repair an injury to the heart valves and the aorta, and ventricular assist device support,” Henry Tannous, MD, co-director of the institute, said in a July 27 news release.

The Stony Brook Cardiogenic Shock Program is one of only a few such programs across the nation.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery. Apply for complimentary registration now.
