Atlanta-based Piedmont Heart has opened a cardiovascular clinic in Waynesboro, Ga.
The Piedmont Heart Institute of Waynesboro hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Jan. 7 in partnership with the Burke County Chamber of Commerce. The clinic aims to expand access to cardiology services for rural residents who previously traveled to Augusta for specialized care, according to a Jan. 12 news release.
The clinic offers diagnostic and treatment services for a range of cardiovascular conditions. Providers include three cardiologists and a nurse practitioner certified in cardiovascular care.
