Peyton Manning, Cincinnati Children’s hospitals name heart surgery leader

Cincinnati Children’s and Indianapolis-based Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent have jointly appointed Roosevelt Bryant III, MD, chief of pediatric and congenital heart surgery.

Dr. Bryant will be based at Peyton Manning Children’s hospital beginning Nov. 18, according to an Oct. 23 news release from Cincinnati Children’s.

Cincinnati Children’s and Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital announced their partnership to improve pediatric cardiology care Sept. 24.

Dr. Bryant will also serve on the faculty at Cincinnati Children’s Heart Institute and as a clinical professor at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

He previously served as surgical director for heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, surgical director of Cincinnati Children’s heart transplant program and surgical director of heart transplantation at Masonic Children’s Hospital at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis.
