Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare added a cardiology track to its Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship program.
The 12-month program, which has operated for 10 years, offers mentorship, clinical training and skills assessment to support transitions into full-time practice. It has earned accreditation with distinction three times from the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs, according to a May 4 news release.
The program reports a 91% graduation rate, with 94% of fellows remaining with OSF HealthCare in full-time roles after completion.
The new outpatient cardiology track will include rotations across cardiology subspecialties in urban and rural settings across Illinois, with hands-on training supported by the Jump Trading Simulation & Education Center.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
