Miami Beach, Fla.-based Mount Sinai Medical Center named Olcay Aksoy, MD, chief of cardiology.
As cardiology chief, he will lead efforts to integrate and expand cardiovascular services throughout Southern Florida and grow clinical research programs, according to an Oct. 1 medical center news release.
Dr. Aksoy comes from UCLA Health, where he served as director of the structural heart program, director of aortic valve interventions, associate director of clinical research in cardiology and associate professor of medicine.
Dr. Aksoy specializes in structural heart disease and advanced catheter-based therapies, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement, transcatheter mitral repair and replacement, tricuspid valve interventions and complex coronary disease.
