Fort Myers, Fla.-based Lee Health has expanded cardiology services through the opening of an ambulatory center and 27-bed hospital unit dedicated to heart failure care.
The Advanced Heart Failure Center, located within HealthPark Medical Center’s Lee Health Heart Institute, and inpatient unit aim to offer streamlined care coordination as heart failure patients transition to the outpatient setting, according to a Jan. 12 news release from Lee Health.
The outpatient facility offers remote monitoring of implantable devices and will soon add a social worker, nutritionist and palliative care physician to its multidisciplinary clinical care team.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
