Falls Church, Va.-based Inova Fairfax Hospital is the first in the world to use GE Healthcare’s SIGNA Spring Elite, an MRI system for advanced cardiac, oncologic and pediatric imaging.

The new technology has been integrated with Inova Schar Heart and Vascular, where clinicians are using it to evaluate complex and hard to detect conditions such as cardiac amyloidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, heart failure, and microvascular dysfunction, according to a Feb. 23 system news release.

The MRI offers free-breathing imaging options, leverages built-in AI technologies and produces high-quality imaging.
