Tom Golisano is the latest philanthropist to contribute to the project, with a $5 million grant.
The system has been working on the project since 2021 but has yet to receive approval from the city of Naples. Officials say the project will provide cardiac care to thousands of patients. It is expected to have four neuro-interventional radiology suites for emergency and nonemergency care for stroke, cerebral aneurysms and carotid artery disease. The center will also treat other conditions, according to the report.
