Naperville, Ill.-based Endeavor Health Edward Hospital is investing nearly $29 million to expand cardiovascular services, the Daily Herald reported March 28.

The project will open two additional operating rooms, relocate two existing ones to the fourth floor of the Edward Heart Hospital and open a 10-bed ICU.

“We’re the downtown hospital in the suburbs, and there is a need in our market and no one should have to leave their community for cardiovascular care,” Yvette Saba, president of Endeavor Health Edward Hospital, told the Herald. “We know our limits. We will never do a transplant. There’s certain things we won’t ever do, but we’ll do everything pretty much up and close to that.”

It is expected to be complete by December 2027.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
