CU Anschutz names cardiac surgery chair

Aurora-based University of Colorado Anschutz has named Matthew Stone, MD, the Meg F. Rady and Family Chair in Congenital Cardiac Surgery. 

Dr. Stone is an associate professor of cardiothoracic surgery and surgical director of the pediatric heart transplantation program at Children’s Hospital Colorado, also based in Aurora, according to a Dec. 3 news release from CU Anschutz.

The chair was previously held by Max Mitchell, MD, who now serves as chief of congenital heart surgery at Denver-based HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children’s.
