Colorado hospital’s chief heart surgeon suddenly departs

The chief cardiac surgeon at Denver-based Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children has exited his role suddenly, Fox 31 reported Aug. 24.

A spokesperson for the hospital confirmed to the news outlet that Immanuel Turner, MD, is no longer employed and as a result, some surgeries have been limited in the short term. 

The hospital declined to provide details on what led to Dr. Turner’s departure.
