Wilmington, Del.-based ChristianaCare and Newark-based Cardiovascular Physicians of Delaware have formed a joint venture to open a new cardiovascular-focused ASC in Newark, Del.
The nearly 9,000-square-foot facility will provide services including diagnostic heart catheterizations, coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, ablation procedures and pacemaker/implantable defibrillator implantations, according to an April 17 news release from ChristianaCare.
The center will be opened through the ChristianaCare Atlas ASC partnership, which was launched in 2024. Atlas Healthcare Partners will manage and operate the center, and Cardiovascular Physicians of Delaware will provide clinical oversight and perform procedures.
The ASC will have two cardiac catheterization/electrophysiology labs, dedicated preoperative and post anesthesia care space, on-site sterile processing and administrative areas.
The project is estimated to cost about $9.3 million and will open in 2027, the release said.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
