Children’s Hospital Los Angeles will begin offering pediatric cardiology services in Santa Monica, Calif., on Jan. 26.
Specialists from CHLA’s Heart Institute will provide care for neonates, children, young adults with congenital or acquired heart disease and pregnant patients needing fetal cardiac screening. The clinic will offer services including echocardiography, electrophysiology, evaluation of fainting and palpitation and fetal heart assessments, according to a Jan. 22 news release.
The Santa Monica site will be open Mondays and on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
The expansion follows a $10 million gift from the Wyss Foundation, which is also funding additional pediatric specialty services in the area.
