Fall River, Mass.-based Saint Anne’s Hospital received approval from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to open a new electrophysiology laboratory.

The 6,200-square-foot EP lab will occupy an existing space in the hospital and provide advanced diagnostic and treatment services for patients with heart rhythm disorders, according to a Sept. 16 system news release shared with Becker’s. It will increase the capacity of the existing cardiovascular program to meet the growing demand for cardiac procedures.

The lab is expected to open in fall 2027.

Saint Anne’s Hospital is part of Brown Health.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
