Miami-based Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care has appointed Ashok Kumar Coimbatore Jeyakumar, MD, director of aortic disease.
Dr. CJ, as he prefers to be called, most recently served as director of adult cardiac surgery at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, according to a Dec. 1 news release from the health system.
He was also the medical center’s surgical director of advanced coronary revascularization and thoracic aortic surgery, the release said.
