Baptist Health names heart and vascular leader

Coral Gables, Fla.-based Baptist Health South Florida has appointed Marcos Nores, MD, as medical director for the Christine E. Lynn Heart & Vascular Institute at Boca Raton (Fla.) Regional Hospital.

Dr. Nores previously served as medical director of cardiovascular services at Atlantis, Fla.-based JFK Medical Center, according to a Jan. 1 news release from Baptist Health South Florida. He also led the cardiothoracic surgery program at Ashland, Ky.-based UK King’s Daughters Medical Center. 

He specializes in mitral valve repair, aortic root and thoracic aorta surgery, coronary reoperations and transcatheter treatment of structural heart disease, the release said.
