Baptist Health appoints regional chief of cardiac surgery

Coral Gables, Fla.-based Baptist Health has appointed Bradley Taylor, MD, as chief of cardiac surgery for the system’s North region.

Dr. Taylor will also serve as the chief of quality and outcomes for Baptist Health Heart & Vascular Care, according to a June 4 news release from the health system. 

As chief, he will lead the Lynn Heart & Vascular Institute’s cardiac surgery programs at Boca Raton (Fla.) Regional Hospital and Boynton Beach, Fla.-based Bethesda Hospital. 

Dr. Taylor previously served as chief of the division of cardiac surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and co-director of the Center of Aortic Disease at the University of Maryland Medical Center, both based in Baltimore.
