The American Heart Association has launched a new certification program for virtual cardiac care delivery.
The Digital Health in Cardiac Care certification program is designed to equip healthcare providers with skills to use remote monitoring and digital tools for managing and preventing heart conditions, according to an Oct. 27 news release from the organization.
It is the fourth professional certification offered through the Certified Professional by the American Heart Association portfolio, which also includes certifications in telehealth, telehealth stroke and tobacco treatment.
The program provides standardized training in digital health literacy, evidence-based care delivery and patient engagement through remote technologies, the release said.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
