- Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham will expand its cardiac rehabilitation program through a collaboration with the virtual cardiac rehabilitation platform Recora.
- The Smidt Heart Institute at Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai launched a sports cardiology program to provide specialized cardiovascular care for athletes and exercise enthusiasts.
- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Nemours Children’s Health opened a specialty clinic in Salisbury, Md., that will offer specialty services starting with cardiology, with plans to add neurosurgery, otolaryngology, orthopedics, radiology, urology and neurology services over the next few months.
- Houston-based Modern Heart and Vascular opened a new cardiovascular care facility in Humble, Texas.
- Portland-based MaineHealth’s Pen Bay and Waldo hospitals added a cardiovascular disease prevention program to their cardiac rehabilitation services.
- AdventHealth Manchester (Ky.) — part of Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth — added cardiology services to its primary care clinic.
- Charleston, S.C.-based Roper St. Francis opened a new cardiovascular center at its Berkeley Hospital in Summerville, S.C.
- Richmond, Va.-based VCU Health opened a cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation center.
- Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth opened the AdventHealth Heart & Vascular Institute in Littleton, Colo.
- Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Health opened an outpatient ambulatory cardiovascular center in Woodbridge, Va., in partnership with Manassas, Va.-based Carient Heart & Vascular and Woodbridge-based Polaris Heart & Vascular Clinic.
- Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health opened a third cardiac catheterization suite at its Broward Health North hospital, expanding the hospital’s cardiovascular service offerings to include ablation procedures.
- Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Health partnered with Carient Heart & Vascular and Polaris Heart & Vascular Clinic to open the Northern Virginia Heart & Vascular Center, an outpatient ambulatory cardiovascular center in Woodbridge, Va.
- Phoenix-based Banner Health opened the Banner Cardiovascular Center–Arcadia, an outpatient surgery center for heart care.
- Lewes, Del.-based Beebe Healthcare established a systemwide cardiovascular institute, integrating care across cardiology and surgical specialties.
- Metairie, La.-based East Jefferson General Hospital, in partnership with Tulane University and LCMC Health, both based in New Orleans, established a heart transplant program and completed its first transplant.
- Stony Brook (N.Y.) Medicine launched a transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement program within its Stony Brook Heart Institute.
- Cleveland-based University Hospitals’ UH Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby, Ohio, established a structural heart program and opened a cardiac catheterization lab.
- Corpus Christi, Texas-based Driscoll Children’s Hospital completed a $100 million heart center expansion, adding two operating rooms, two advanced cardiac catheterization labs and a 35-bed cardiac ICU.
- Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital added two 512-Slice CT scanners to its imaging suite. The scanners leverage AI and machine learning to strengthen cardiac imaging diagnostics and treatment.
- Greenbrae, Calif.-based MarinHealth launched a cardiothoracic surgery program at the MarinHealth Heart and Vascular Institute.
- Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health will open the Cone Health Steven D. Bell Family Heart & Vascular Center on April 28.
- Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health opened a new heart failure clinic at the Baptist Health La Grange (Ky.) Ambulatory Care Center.
- Rome, Ga.-based AdventHealth Redmond opened a cardiology center in Cedartown, Ga.
- HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital broke ground on a new cardiac catheterization lab, expected to open in 2025.
- Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton hospital launched a cardiac rehabilitation program.
- Charleston, S.C.-based MUSC Health’s Columbia Medical Center Downtown opened a new hybrid operating room for its cardiovascular and vascular surgeons and structural heart team.
- Glen Burnie-based University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, part of Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical System, acquired the Heart Center of Northern Anne Arundel County, also based in Glen Burnie.
- Palm Beach (Fla.) Health Network’s Good Samaritan Medical Center launched a new Center for Preventive Cardiac Medicine.
- Greenville, N.C.-based Eastern Carolina University Health established a new telecardiology program to provide patients with more accessible and convenient cardiovascular care.
- New Hyde Park-based Northwell Health’s Plainview (N.Y.) Hospital opened a new electrophysiology lab.
- Dover, Del.-based Bayhealth relaunched its cardiovascular services under one name, the Bayhealth Heart & Vascular Institute.
- Dallas-based Medical City Children’s Hospital opened a new cardiac catheterization lab.
- Grand Rapids, Mich-based Corewell Health opened an advanced heart failure clinic at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospitals Heart & Vascular – Royalton in St Joseph, Mich.
- Phoenix Heart Vein Vascular opened a new location in Avondale, Ariz.
- NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst opened a Women’s Heart Health Institute to address gender disparities and care gaps found in women’s cardiovascular healthcare.
- Jacksonville, Fla.-based Baptist Health opened the Baptist Beaches Cardiology Center in Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
- The AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute in Tampa, Fla., opened its fourth dedicated electrophysiology lab.
- Children’s Hospital Los Angeles opened a new cardiac imaging suite, which now houses the only low-field MRI machine at a pediatric hospital in the United States.
- New York City-based Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital opened a comprehensive health program, offering same-day heart health assessments.
- Valdosta, Ga.-based SGMC Health opened a new cardiac electrophysiology lab at its main hospital campus, also in Valdosta.
- New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health will open a new cardiac catheterization lab at its Lenox Health Greenwich Village hospital in New York City. The lab is part of a $36.7 million investment by the health system to expand services in the area.
- Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Medicine’s expanded cardiac electrophysiology services at the system’s Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, W. Va.
- Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth began construction on the AdventHealth Redmond Heart and Vascular Institute in Rome, Ga.
- Missoula, Mont.-based Community Medical Center opened a new heart center. The project was funded with a $17.9 million investment by Brentwood, Tenn.-based Lifepoint Health.
- Grand Blanc, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care hospital McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, Mich., opened a designated cardiovascular surgery ICU.
- Advocate Health Care, a member of Charlotte, N.C.-based Advocate Health, opened its South Asian Cardiovascular Center in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
- The University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Md., opened a facility that aligns the heart and lung care practices in a collaborative space for cardiopulmonary care.
- The Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical Center opened a pediatric cardiac lab and operating room, named the Evelyn Kay Davis Congenital Hybrid Catheterization Suite.
- West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health opened a cardiac catheterization laboratory at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway, also in New Jersey.
- Dallas-based Medical City Healthcare opened its Heart Recovery Clinic at the Medical City Fort Worth hospital, also in Texas.
