7 cardiologists on the move

Here are seven cardiologists stepping into new roles since Nov. 16:

  1. Dr. Samin Sharma was appointed director of New York City-based Mount Sinai Cardiovascular Clinical Institute.
  2. Cleveland Clinic Weston (Fla.) Hospital welcomed three cardiovascular specialists:
    • Jenny Placido Disla, MD
    • Yasser Rodriguez, MD
    • Dr. Morris Sasson
  3. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Wolfson Children’s Terry Heart Institute welcomed pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Muhammad Mumtaz, MD.
  4. Adam de Jong has been named vice president of Lee Health’s cardiovascular services in Fort Myers, Fla.
  5. Paterson, N.J.-based St. Joseph’s Health welcomed cardiothoracic surgeon Bledi Zaku, MD, as chief of the department of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.
