Fifteen heart hospitals received five-star recommendations from patients.
Becker’s has compiled a list of the heart hospitals patients would recommend in each state using Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems data from CMS.
CMS created 10 HCAHPS star ratings based on publicly reported HCAHPS measures. The patient recommendation star rating combines data from three HCAHPS survey questions and summarizes if patients would recommend the system to their friends and family. The star rating is based on survey data collected from hospital patients between October 2024 and September 2025. The figures are from CMS’ Provider Data Catalog and were released Aug. 13.
In August, 756 hospitals received five-star recommendations from patients, but only 15 were dedicated heart hospitals.
