Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health’s CPMC Kanbar Cardiac Care Center in San Francisco has earned The Joint Commission’s 29th Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification.
The achievement marks the third Sutter hospital to earn the certification, joining Sutter Medical Center Sacramento and the Mills-Peninsula Medical Center, according to a Sept. 3 news release from the health system.
The certification is offered by The Joint Commission in partnership with the American Heart Association and is the highest level of cardiac recognition, the release said.
“CPMC’s certification is one example of the strength and scale of cardiovascular care across Sutter,” Michael Pham, MD, chair of Sutter Health’s Advanced Heart & Vascular Service Line, said in the release. “Across Northern California, we’re building a more connected cardiovascular network that combines broad community access with advanced, complex care.”
