U.S. News and World Report rated 223 hospitals high performing for aortic valve surgery.
U.S. News evaluated more than 6,000 hospitals on how well they treated aortic valve surgery patients by analyzing patient survival rates, length of stay, infection rates, volume and more. Hospitals then received one of three ratings: high performing, as expected or evaluated. U.S. News does not assign numerical rankings for aortic valve surgery or distinguish among hospitals within the high performing group. However, hospitals that earned high performing typically had better patient outcomes compared to others.
Among evaluated hospitals, 223 were rated high performing, 358 rated as expected and 147 as evaluated.
