Shaun Setty, MD, was named chief of pediatric cardiac surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, Calif.
Dr. Setty stepped into the role July 1. In his role, he leads the pediatric cardiac surgery program, oversees surgical care for complex congenital heart disease and spearheads program development, according to a July 1 news release.
He currently serves as clinical assistant professor at Stanford Medicine’s pediatric cardiac surgery division, and director of the global cardiac care and adult congenital heart disease programs at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford in Palo Alto, Calif.
