Anthony Hilliard, MD, was appointed president of Loma Linda (Calif.) University Health, effective July 1.
Dr. Hilliard will succeed Richard Hart, MD, DrPH. He will also continue to serve as CEO of the system’s hospitals, a role he has held since October 2024, according to an April 16 news release.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Hilliard held several leadership positions within the system, including division head of cardiology; COO of the Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group and LLU Health Care; senior vice president for clinical faculty operations; and associate dean of clinical operations for the medical school.
Loma Linda University Health is a faith-based system that includes Loma Linda University’s eight professional schools, Loma Linda University Medical Center’s six hospitals and more than 1,000 faculty physicians, according to its website.
